If ever there was an excuse to go full sex-appeal with a character design this was it. As depicted by the French artist Louis le Breton for his fellow countryman Jacques-Albin-Simon Collin de Plancy’s Dictionnaire infernal, Astaroth is a skinny man with reptilian claws punctuating long hands and feet, hobbled over on the back of a lupine demon sporting a massive pair of bat wings and a serpentine tail. Like I know Helluva Boss still has a cartoon style, but they could have at least given him a massive bulge, or an dump truck ass. My only complaint about the design is that as the embodiment of lust, he should be much more sexualized. I loved it so much when I saw the episode. They're such simple details but again if you're a nerd for this stuff they add so much to the design. and he has the feathers of a rooster tail. To anyone unaware this is just a cool monster design. Their design for Asmodeus is so incredible and I love the little nods to classic designs of his character. Then Helluva Boss comes along and gives us this specimen. So I've known about the concept of the Seven Princes of Hell for a while now and have always thought there would make for an awesome addition to any kind of media, but so far there aren't a lot of properties who nailed.
